Ibn Aqeel (may Allah have mercy on him) writes his story that I was a very poor man. Once while doing Tawaf I saw a necklace which was very valuable. No, it is theft. The requirement of honesty is that the necklace be delivered to the owner.
So standing in the mataf, I announced that if anyone has lost his necklace, come and take it from me. A blind man came forward and said that this is my necklace and it has fallen out of my bag.
My nafs rebuked me that even a necklace belonged to a blind person. Someone would have hidden it, but I gave the necklace to this blind old man and he went back praying. I used to pray to Allah for daily sustenance so that Allah would arrange for me to see the glory of Allah.
When I went to a mosque there, I found out that Imam Sahib had died. People told me to go ahead and offer prayers. When I offered prayers, people liked my prayers. ۔ I said let’s go. I started performing the duties of Imamate there.
A few days later, it was found out that the deceased Imam Sahib also had a young daughter. The followers said, “If you wish, we will arrange your marriage with her.” I said as you wish so we will both get married. ۔
A few months after the marriage, one day I saw the same necklace around my wife’s neck that I had given back to this old man in Tawaf. I was given, then I came to know that Imam Sahib was the one whom I had defeated in Tawaf.
I told my wife that this necklace had fallen from them and I was the one who returned it. It was accepted that Allah gave you the house and the sustenance of the housewife
