Life has turned around for good for Abbakka, a dog who shook the consciousness of many a few months ago after a video of her being dragged on the road, tied up behind a car went viral.
Since then, she was rescued and found a new home with an animal welfare organization. Now, Daya Animal Welfare, which takes care of Abbakka has shared a happy update on her.
“Abbakka gave birth to three healthy puppies on Tuesday. Both the mother and newborns are absolutely healthy. We are all excited and happy for her,” a spokesperson of Daya told Indiatimes.
According to the animal charity, they were unaware of the pregnancy, and only they got to know about it.
“When she was rescued we had conducted routine tests and scans, but nothing unusual was found, and even the doctor who examined her did not find anything unusual. But she was eating a lot of food, which is typical when dogs are pregnant. So we had our doubts and towards the end of last month we conducted another scan and found that she was 58-days pregnant,” the spokesperson explained
