Understanding the deficiency, the ruler gathered the depository’s overseer, educating him to carry a chest loaded up with pearls and gems. In a great motion, the lord discharged the whole chest into the transient’s sack. Yet, incredibly, the more gems that fell, the bigger the poor person’s pocket appeared to become, until every one of the fortunes disappeared into it.
The Lowering Acknowledgment
Feeling an insecurity, the lord opened the depository for every one of his clergymen, squires, and subjects, yet the transient’s pocket stayed unfilled. It was only after the whole city had contributed, leaving it barren, that the ruler recognized rout.
The Shrewd Bum’s Disclosure
With a victorious grin, the bum turned the pocket back to front, uncovering its vacancy. He effortlessly showed respect for the ruler, saying, “Your Highness, this pocket is made of want, an abyss. Regardless of the amount you fill it, it will continuously ache for more.”
