In the Indian state of Gujarat, the remains of a 1400 years old mosque have been discovered in Ghogha village of Bhavnagar, whose qiblah is towards Jerusalem.
This mosque is in a very dilapidated condition. Inside the mosque, about 25 people can pray together. There are 12 pillars on which the roof of the mosque is built. The roof of the mosque and the walls of the mosque are also carved.
According to the researchers, this mosque may be the only mosque on the face of the earth after Masjid-ul-Haram, Masjid-e-Nabawi and Masjid-e-Aqsa in terms of its antiquity.
This mosque is similar to all other mosques in India, whose mihrabs face Mecca. This ancient mosque still has the oldest Arabic inscription and today it is under the care of Barwada Tanjum.
According to Islamic history, from 610 to 623, prayers were offered towards the Holy House and then from 624, prayers were offered towards the Ka’bah. This is 1397 years ago. According to the researchers, it is clear that this mosque was made in the era of Prophet
